The biocracy
Ole Petter Ribe (b. 1995) is based in Oslo. He holds several bachelor’s degrees from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, the Norwegian Children’s Book Institute and Volda University College. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in urban farming at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences.
Ole Petter works with folk phenomena and urban farming activities. He runs the artist-based archive Folkearkivet – which collects, documents and contextualises folk and everyday art. He often collaborates with local people, amateurs and young groups to create inviting, quirky and empirical installations or performances. As an urban farmer, he focuses on educating and engaging children to observe, explore, care for and preserve urban wildlife and nature.
